wars
A novel, perhaps risky, way to position my development attitudes is to present my solution to the great holy-wars that face developers.
- spaces over tabs
- small over large, be they names, methods or code bases, but not beers.
- unix over windows
- strong over weak types
/bin/shover/bin/csh- static over dynamic — I hate this terminology, they are such powerful words, dynamic sounds better, but it is not.
- implicit over explicit
- emacs and vi — chickenshit, but true.
- eclipse/intelli-j is not a real fight, it is a pair of school boys pushing each other, so I decline to offer an opinion.
Any other wars you care to fight?
